Ammar Salehan: Guiding Others to Find Strength in the Wild

Ammar Salehan’s journey began with a simple love for hiking. What started as quiet walks into nature slowly grew into something deeper. The mountains gave him peace. The trials taught him resilience. And along the way, he realised his true calling was not just to explore the wild, but to help others experience its power as well.

That calling became AS Adventurex, an outdoor event organiser built on real, raw experiences. Ammar didn’t want curated moments or surface-level adventures. He wanted people to feel the climb in their legs, the silence in the forest, and the strength that comes from pushing past their limits.

The path was never easy. There were moments of doubt—physical exhaustion, mental pressure, and financial uncertainty. But every trail Ammar walked reminded him of one truth: progress only comes when you keep moving forward, even when the path is steep and unforgiving.

Today, Ammar has guided countless individuals up Mount Kinabalu, through hidden waterfalls, and deep into jungles few have ever seen. But the real reward isn’t reaching the summit. It’s watching people overcome fear, build genuine friendships, and rediscover parts of themselves they thought were lost.

For Ammar, the mountain is more than a destination.
It is a teacher.

And every time he leads someone upward, he is reminded that the climb never truly ends. It becomes part of who we are—shaping our strength, our perspective, and the way we move through life long after we return home.
