Esty Richard: Choosing Purpose Over Applause

A few years ago, Esty Richard was the girl who never missed a party. She chased every event, every night out, believing that the noise, the lights, and the attention would somehow fill the space she felt inside. But when the music stopped, and the crowds faded, the emptiness remained.

On paper, her life looked perfect. She studied Mass Communication and built an impressive career in corporate sales at a tech company, rising into a high-ranking role overseeing the APAC region. She had the income, the recognition, the lifestyle many aspire to. Yet over time, Esty began to realise that success and money alone were not enough. They looked good from the outside, but inside, she felt unfulfilled.

That realisation became a turning point.

Esty’s perspective shifted as she began to search for something deeper. She learned that true fulfilment does not come from chasing status or validation. It comes from living with purpose. For her, that purpose was found in God. Anchored in faith, she made a bold decision to walk away from the life she had built and step fully into social media as her calling.

It has been just three years since that leap, but the journey has been transformative.

In this time, Esty has collaborated with organisations such as UNICEF, the Ministry of Communications, the Ministry of Defence, local NGOs, and global brands. These milestones affirmed something she holds close to her heart. Influence is not about fame or numbers. It is about using your voice to encourage, unite, and create impact beyond yourself.

The path has not been without challenges. Esty is often misjudged, a reality that comes with life online. Social media is quick to label and slow to understand. But she remains grounded in her values, secure in her calling, and rooted in the faith that steadies her through every season.

Today, Esty’s message is clear and unwavering.

Do not waste your life chasing what looks good but leaves you empty. Choose purpose. Choose growth. Choose a life that outlives you, lifts others, and truly matters.
