Lilyannie Christie: A Voice Against Hurt and a Heart for Healing

In 2020, at a time when the world felt heavy and uncertain, Lilyannie Christie decided to create a space built on courage. She launched her campaign and website, “Stop Verbal Bullying,” with one goal: to let people feel seen, heard, and safe. She wanted the movement to reach beyond Sabah and speak to anyone who had ever been hurt by words that cut too deep.

By 2022, her mission grew from screens to classrooms. She began visiting schools like SMK Matunggong and others across the state, sharing her story with students who needed to hear it. She reminded them that kindness matters, that strength can be quiet, and that every person deserves to feel worthy. For Lilyannie, this campaign was never a small project. It was, and still is, a movement she intends to carry into the future.

Outside the spotlight, she lives a life rooted in community. She works full-time as an administrative assistant at the Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah Pitas, doing her part to support the local education system. She also helps run her family’s traditional-modern souvenir business, a brand built on culture, identity, and hard work. It is a reminder that her journey is not only about advocacy, but also about honoring her roots.

Lilyannie embraces life honestly. She loves the glitz when the crown calls for it, but she never hides the quieter moments. She steps back from social media when she feels overwhelmed. She rests without guilt. She reconnects with her faith to stay grounded. She knows that strength is not about polishing every flaw but about accepting them with grace.

She does not aim to be perfect. She aims to be real. A role model who shows that success takes many shapes, that differences are gifts, and that leadership built on compassion can inspire others to rise.
If there is one thing she wants people to remember, it is this:

She did not simply walk the stage. She walked with meaning.
She did not win titles for herself. She carried a mission.
And she did not just speak out. She opened doors for others to step through.
