Rising from the Ashes: The Journey of Kayatthri Krishnasamy

When life throws its toughest challenges, some people crumble. Others rise — like Kayatthri Krishnasamy.

Kayatthri is a mother, a wife, and a businesswoman. Since 2011, she has been a key figure in Malaysia's digital arena. She established Tech Bytez Solutions to build brands online and later ventured into KS Training Resources to guide individuals in building their careers. Despite managing two businesses, she successfully completed a Master's in Marketing at Universiti Malaya, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to achieving her goals.

Life was progressing just as she had imagined… until September 2023.

She was diagnosed with cancer. The diagnosis rattled her world but not her spirit. Chemotherapy, surgeries, and physical exhaustion – all became a part of her daily routine. Yet even while in the midst of treatment, Kayatthri continued to turn up for her clients and conduct training sessions. Her work gave her strength. Her purpose gave her focus.

In the middle of her battle, she didn’t just survive — she thrived. She graduated with top honours and received the Excellence Award.

This year, she was honoured as one of the Malaysian Indian Women Icons 2025. This prestigious award was not only in recognition of her survival of cancer but also in acknowledgement of her remarkable demonstration of strength, purpose and belief.

Kayatthri’s journey teaches us that life can knock us down, but it is the ability to overcome adversity that defines us.

“No matter how hard it is, you can rise again.”
