He graduated from Universiti Teknologi Petronas in 2020 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Geoscience. But entering the workforce during the MCO meant opportunities in the oil and gas industry were limited, uncertain, and slow to come by.
Instead of waiting idly, he used that time to explore something unexpected, creating content that people genuinely enjoyed.
Armed with just a phone, humour, and creativity, he began making relatable sketches filled with quirky characters and everyday moments. The videos started small, experimental, and unpolished. But they were honest. And people connected with them.
Slowly, a loyal audience grew.
Rather than viewing others as competition, he chose collaboration. By supporting fellow creators, he strengthened both his community and his craft. Every video sharpened his storytelling, timing, and confidence.
Even as his online presence expanded, he remained grounded. Today, he continues working full-time as a Geophysicist, proving that passion does not have to replace profession; it can exist alongside it.
Sonic Webs’ journey is a reminder that growth does not always come from choosing one path over another. Sometimes, it comes from learning how to balance ambition, creativity, and commitment while staying true to who you are.
